Getting There
The closest international airport is Venice Marco Polo (VCE) which is approximately 30 minutes by water taxi from each of our suggested hotels. For those arriving by train, water taxis offer a short 20-minute ride from Venice Santa Lucia Train Station to our suggested hotels. Getting to and from the airport or train station is easy, with several transport options available. Private water taxis are the fastest and most direct option (€70 to €150 each way). They’ll drop you at, or very close to, your hotel and can be found dockside at both the airport and train station without prior booking. For added convenience, but at additional cost, your hotel can arrange one in advance, often including meet-and-greet service and luggage assistance. Shared water taxis are available for around €32 per person. These operate on a pooled basis, typically dropping off at public piers near major hotels. Wait time to depart on a shared taxi may be 20–45 minutes to accommodate other passengers, and the total trip time varies depending on the number and location of stops. Alilaguna, the public high-speed water shuttle, offers the most economical water route from the airport. Tickets cost approximately €18 per person, with boats departing about every 30 minutes. The journey takes 75–90 minutes, with stops at public piers near, but not at, most hotels. If you’re heading to the Cipriani, you’ll need to transfer at San Marco Square to the hotel’s private shuttle boat for the final leg.

Getting Around
Given Venice is a floating city, boats and walking are the best ways to get around. For all our events, we’ve arranged private chartered boats to whisk you effortlessly between our three suggested hotels and each venue—so relax, and soak in the views. For trips around the city, your hotel can help you arrange a water taxi (ask for the cost upfront), jump on the Vaporetto (Venice's version of a bus on water) or you can get to most destinations in Venice from your hotel by foot within 10-30 minutes. Walking the narrow Calle (streets) of Venice is the best way to truly experience and explore the city.
